German playgrounds are designed to be perilous to ensure kids learn how to handle danger

New German playgrounds are constructed to be harmful, forcing kids to negotiate perilous obstacles whereas risking harm in the event that they fall in accordance to a professor of motor growth.

Professor Rolf Schwarz of Karlsruhe University of Education, argues that ‘protected’ playgrounds forestall kids from studying how to handle danger within the early levels of their growth.

‘If we would like kids to be ready for danger, we’d like to enable them to come into contact with danger,’ stated the professor who works with councils and playground designers to develop difficult obstacles.

It comes as Rebecca Faulkner, an government from New York based mostly non-profit researcher play:groundNYC, stated smooth touchdown areas and spongy flooring do not assist kids to learn that their actions have penalties.

‘What the spongy floor playgrounds do not do is train kids that there’s a consequence to falling, and so they will not learn something from it,’ stated Faulkner.

‘The spongy floor actually simply teaches them that the bottom is smooth, which, after all, it isn’t.’

...but I will add... any parent who does not accompany a very young child “TO ANY” park with gadgets is a moron. however... there does come that time when kids go on their own, and at that age, these structures would indeed be not only fun, but very easily, with low risk negotiable.

as with bicycles, I believe the times are coming on the track we are on, that you will soon indeed see, people wearing helmets walking the streets, in fear of that pebble. js...

Maybe you could share a picture of your office cubicle.

My play ground was the farm

With a river running through it.

Thousands of acers of woods.

My play ground toys were fishing equipment, traps, guns, knifes, axes, bows and arrows and all kinds of other stuff.

Thousands of trees to climb, canoes ect ect.

From the time I was about 8 I had free rein of it.

but... next time start out with displaying that pic and offer up an explanation of your concerns about play ground gadgets! because now, I have NOOO clue how you can be scared of what you posted about!!!

If we would like kids to be ready for danger, we’d like to enable them to come into contact with danger,’

Is that why German Hillary let all those moslems into your Vaterland?

There was a nice children's playground near us that recently got redesigned and what I saw that they made for small children horrified me. I sometimes ride my bicycle by there and I don't even like to look. That's how dangerous it is.

Ahahahaha. Did you really just say that, German daffodil? I think we kilt all the real German men in WWII. Now look what's left.

I used my bike for scale which is an extra large size frame because I am 6 feet 4 inches tall...

What's that in the metric system?

Calm down, German. You're getting triggered again and Poland is getting a bit nervous over there.

I see the California Qtard is projecting again.
You are actually a good example of what a sorry life a child could have from falling on their head.

Since you actually made me laugh, I'll help your thread along with a positive contribution in keeping with the theme. Here is a short and well done documentary on what can happen to a child out in the dangerous world.

(stay till the end, all will become clear)

I didn't see anything wrong with the playground. We had monkey bars and horizontal steel ladders that we used to run on top of (rather than hang from) and a huge rock with a cliff on one side in the playground I grew up with.

The bike on the other hand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgGbfmAgkLg

I did too, he didn't know how to swim and slipped off his inner tube while alone and too far out in the lake......

Ironically enough, just the day before, he, I and another friend were having fun in our inner tubes on my side of the lake......

Hahahahahahaha.

Don't talk about bikes (or soccer), or Poland may pay the price for your indiscretion. And haven't they suffered enough?
