Update 6/15/21: Recently, the Lozier Institute learned that Sanofi-GSK used abortion-derived HEK293T cells to produce pseudovirus in some of their confirmatory lab tests. This was also the case for the Inovio and Novavax vaccine candidates mentioned in the article, the latter of which was reported this week to be close to seeking FDA approval. While none of those three vaccines used abortion-derived cell lines in the design, development or production of their vaccines they did wind-up “abortion-tainting” their vaccines in the confirmatory lab tests. There are currently no vaccine candidates in the United States without some link to abortion-derived cell lines.

Update July 2021: that list of vaccines not using fetal cells in production now includes Novavax, which may be available in the U.S. later this year. Writing about Novavax, which has now completed their phase 3 trials, The Atlantic says, “The recent results confirm that it has roughly the same efficacy as the two authorized mRNA vaccines, with the added benefit of being based on an older, more familiar science. The protein-subunit approach used by Novavax was first implemented for the hepatitis B vaccine, which has been used in the U.S. since 1986. The pertussis vaccine, which is required for almost all children in U.S. public schools, is also made this way. Some of those people who have been wary of getting the mRNA vaccines may find Novavax more appealing.”)

You piqued my interest to investigate this further. The totality of my efforts show the vaccine is not the progeny of fetal tissue. However, there is a discrepancy regarding testing against fetal lines. Some sites say no testing, others allege testing. The attached link says yes and no, without further delineation
