Golden age of basketball. Bird, Magic and Jordan. Now it's a bunch of thugs playing ball. We have to remember basketball was still a niche sport back in the '70s. It wasn't straight mainstream yet.
Now I think it has lost its popularity with mainstream America. It will become a niche sport in urban areas. With the exploding Hispanic population in USA, we will probably have more people watching English Premier League than NBA in a decade or two.
