Even back in the day, I wasn’t a big fan of either group. There are probably more Stones songs I like than Who songs, but Led Zeppelin was my band during that era. Liked quite a bit of the Beatles, but I considered them a pop band rather than a rock band for the most part.
I’d have to agree with you. I was only 10 when Zeppelin broke up but I’ve come to appreciate them over the years, and Plant had a good solo career in the 80’s so I got acquainted with him then. As I get older, I also appreciate the Beatles more and find I listen to them quite a bit.
