After researching and penning an entire book on the matter (the gut), I can state with authority:
Their citation of dysbiosis is demonstrable of the derelict state of knowledge of the gut. Permit me to be 100% clear:
Anyone who believes that taking probiotics will ‘cure’ any condition of the gut is desperate, in denial, or both.
It took me a FULL YEAR to correct my gut dysbiosis and ANOTHER FULL YEAR to permit my gut to heal.
I’ve argued prior that the practitioner field of gastroenterology needs to be split to create a specialty field which focuses upon the microbiome and its effect upon the endocrine system (including ‘immunity’).
If a FReeper has a problem with their gut, the odds are that you will waste your time and compromise your health by going to an AMA practitioner of gastroenterology.
Insofar as the virus goes, I had a gut effect post-infection which lasted for months. Future research will prove interesting, if they can pull their heads out of their backsides (pun intended).
What is the title of the book, if I may ask?
