Just had only about 25 reported cases of COVID-19 new infections yesterday in a Tokyo population of 14 MILLION.
In all of Japan (population 130 million, or 39% of USA) just two (2) reported COVID-caused deaths yesterday and day before).
Almost all semi-lockdowns now over, most people going back to normal, there never were mandatory vaccines here (except perhaps in the Japan Self Defense Forces). I would say maybe 98% surgical mask-wearing rate when you are out and around on the town, but that will be ending probably soon as people are tired of it, though patient. Conservative majority returned to Lower House in elections about three weeks ago, though lost some seats, but generally handling of COVID positively rated by Japanese populace). Booster shots have already begun, primarily over 65, frontline workers, or compromised health situations.
"....or 74.7 percent, of Japan's population of around 125 million have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with almost 100 million having received at least one dose."
One dose?
You do understand which race is the lowest denominator in susceptibility to the virus, don’t you?
Don’t buy food from Japan!
