New data reveals the epidemic of car break-ins in San Francisco is worsening. Betty Yu reports it has gotten so bad tourists are being told not to rent cars in The City.

This reminds me of an area in Spain I was at in the 90’s. Gypsy theft was unreal, locals never had radios and kept windows rolled down in their cars. Rental car companies, however, would rent cars with a radio. They full well knew it would likely be stolen and they could over-charge tourists for the loss of the radio upon return.

Check out these numbers and quotes from the video you posted. The DA prior to Marxist Boudin DA cleared 9% of larceny cases. Marxist Boudin's office is clearly only 3.5% of cases, nearly a TWO-THIRDS drop.

The second quote is preposterous beyond belief. They arrest in 2% of auto burglaries, but are proud as heck that they PROSECUTED the "overwhelming majority" of those cases!! Notice the Marxist DA's office doesn't provide the CONVICTION rate which I bet is close to zero. Even if they are convicted, I bet almost nobody goes to jail and, if you do go to jail, you are out in no time at all.

I was driving our family through SF on the way to a children's museum in Sausalito about 20 years ago. We all saw a smash-and-grab on the SF city streets as we were waiting at a red light.
