If anyone has sacrificed the status of “normal,” it is Jennifer Rubin, not the Republican party.
In a very crowded field, Jennifer Rubin stands out as possibly the most extreme case of Trump Derangement Syndrome among the former conservatives driven mad (in my opinion) by Donald Trump’s presidency. Her hatred of Trump and the party that now is dominated by him and his supporters is so extreme that she wants the media to stop treating it as a legitimate representative of the roughly half the populace that votes for it.
Yesterday on MSNBC, she called for new “rules” that would require the media to essentially treat Republicans as pariahs. The video excerpt below is 3 minutes long and seems longer due to her tone of voice and demeanor. If you find her intolerable, skip ahead to the last 30 seconds.

Fred T of The Right Scoop nails it when he writes, “The new rule is ‘brag about it and act like it’s ethical.’”
Rubin’s decline has been notable for years now. A years and a half ago, Andrea Widburg wrote an essay on Rubin’s “death wish for Republicans” lamenting her transformation:
Once upon a time, Jennifer Rubin was an intelligent woman. Things started to go downhill when she went to work for the Washington Post, but what really flipped the switch in her brain was seeing Donald Trump become president. Not only did she lose perspective, but she also lost intelligence, self-restraint, and decency.

I mentioned in another post that they aren't loading us into cattle cars at gunpoint. When they do, it'll be busses with bars on the windows, well be taken away for mandatory vaccines "for our own good and the protection of society." Well also be re-educated about our non-compliant, anti-social behavior. Gotta stomp all that freedom and liberty nonsense out of us.
Good idea. The WaPo and MSNBC haven’t really been doing enough to estrange Republicans and conservatives, now they really need to build a wall between us. Not that it’s necessary, I haven’t read or listened to anything either organization has published for decades.
There’s a lamp post with Rubin’s name on it.
What she means is we are "untermenschen".
Shrill Rubin is a bit of a shrew, inn’t she?
Let Me Educate you!
“Inn’t” is spelled just the way I want.
Another rant from the not so inclusive group.
Yes, and Rubin is one shrew I would have less than no desire to “tame”.
Jennifer Rubin is BS crazy if she thinks the party of Biden, Harris, Schiff, Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, Pressley, Waters, Tlaib, Jayapal, Swalwell, and Omar is the party of sanity and moderation. I have never seen such a collection of freaks in my life except at a pride parade. Come to think of it, they also participate in pride parades, so they fit right in.
I met George Will in DC. What a pompous ass-hat.
My brother-in-law also thinks he is morally superior and loves Jennifer Rubin. Both are disgusting and pompous.
Another one who thinks "smart" is a synonym for "good".
Even Hitler was smart.
Jennifer Rubin was never good. She played the conservative con for as long as it was giving satisfactory results, then she ditched it when it started working in favor of America.
That hasn’t happened in at least 20 years.
Her loyalty is not to any particular political party; only so far as that party serves other goals. Apparently the “new” Republican party does not.
Jennifer is a mousy little beotch who gets attention pretending she is GOP
Great point!
Eliminationist rhetoric. The NAZIS called Jews viruses, disease microbes. This is deliberate dehumization which makes genocide logical.
“Eliminationist rhetoric. The NAZIS called Jews viruses, disease microbes. This is deliberate dehumization which makes genocide logical.”
Yep, as I say to people, the kind of language these people are using against us is a necessary precursor to a genocide. While it doesn’t assure that the genocide will happen, it is not possible to pull off a genocide without this precursor rhetoric.
*Jennifer "Bobby Peru" Rubin ping*
Isn’t she a “Republican”? Let’s start with her;D
