A guy once told me that they are untraceable...in the modern sense of modern digital eq.

As long as someone is transmitting, they can be tracked. The signal gets stronger as you get closer and the antenna is a dead giveaway.

If you get mad at someone, you can put a straight pin in their coax and they can't transmit. A pin is hard to spot.
