by trying to merge covid (virus) with 'E. coli' (bacteria) , which is a naturally occurring bacteria within the human family, I view this as another "gain of function" research, which would be an adaption of an already existing bacterium. I also find it ironic that we are still funding the Wuhan Institute of Virology, even though they are instrumental in the origin and development of covid. No wonder why the leftists want to eliminate all history, as obviously we have not learned a lesson, despite all indications of the origin of covid-19. Yikes! Thanks for the information Irish.

"Allegedly, laboratory workers tested positive for COVID-19 after conducting experiments involving the insertion of COVID-19 genetic material
into the bacterium E.coli as an expression vector for COVID-19 proteins.
The text states that East China University of Science and Technology has been closed in relation to COVID-19 infections of laboratory workers."
and later :
"The Chinese source said that all mention of this event on social media has now been removed by authorities."
