King County employees will be escorted by security guards to buses, trains and ferries as part of a new program. Security for me, but not for thee.
This is more like Lords and peasants than it is like a government "of the people, for the people, by the people".

Isn't sunset around 4:30 ish in Seattle. The walk from city hall to the King Street Station is roughly 15 minutes. If they get off work at 5pm they are all walking in the dark.
Typical liberalism, didn't think things through....

Private sector employees also pay taxes so they should get the same protection.
Perhaps those private sector employees work for private sector companies located down town. So....let the private sector companies pack up and move to the suburbs or elsewhere around Seattle.
That will hit the gov in the wallet big time
