Let’s face it - the so-called “art” we are talking about here is no better than a child’s scribblings - just because some people are dumb enough to pay for it doesn’t make it art.

I feel the same way about music. 99.999% garbage. Still, there are islands of inspired beauty here and there.

Yes, music is the same.

My subjective standards for what I consider to be “legitimate” art or music are purely matters of opinion - nothing more.

However, when there is a story about Christopher Walken destroying something that (in my opinion) was not legitimate art in the first place - it is perfectly within my right to not care that it got painted over.

My taste in art is subjective - but so is another person’s outrage over a painting getting defaced.
