I assume she is using the relationship between drinking and dialysis because she is illustrating dialysis patients she is familiar with who were hard drinkers. I will not assume she is a fake because she used that illustration, instead of referencing liver patients. And as a retired R.N., I take issue with your thoughts that she is only a nurse because she didn’t have the grades to be a doctor. I know no nurses who are nurses because, though they really wanted to be doctors, they had to settle with being a nurse. Nurses tend to be nurturing, doctors specialize in diagnostics. Different means with the same ends...USUALLY. Germany had many doctors who subjected victims to monstrous torture and mutilation. ALL humanity has the potential for perversion; doctors are not exempt from that.
