This was a very helpful article when I was starting learning Polish, to get me to memorize the months of the year.

Thanks. Only three of the Polish months resemble the Croatian months—the Polish name for July resembles the Croatian name for June (both from the word meaning “linden”) and the Polish name for August resembles the Croatian name for July (from the word for “sickle”). No months named for “hammer.” Serbian and Croatian are mutually intelligible languages but the Serbs use the Roman month names like we do in English.
