Two weeks before my son left for Bowling Green (BGSU) Ohio, they announced that they WOULD NOT be requiring the vaccine.
Within two weeks after he moved in, they announced they WOULD be requiring a vaccine for Spring semester 2022. They require proof of vaccination OR an application for exemption for:
Religious
Medical
Personal Conscious
My son has consistently maintained that he WILL NOT take the vaccine. That said, he applied for a religious exemption, which was approved just last week.
He indicated in his application, that were they to deny his exemption, he would seek his education elsewhere.
Based on their recent email communication, you will need to reapply for the granted exemption periodically.
So what does that mean? I have no idea. They state that out of 2,207 exemption requests from students, faculty and staff, they approved 1,769.
Would love to see the applications they denied...
Personal conscience?
Is that one also?
I can’t honestly say I have religious objection.
Not sure about medical.
Not only did I have COVID, but I have a history of blood clots AND am on tamoxifen for cancer, which has clots as big risk. I’ve heard that there may be some risk with the vaxes. JJ definitely had the scare, not sure about the others.
But personal conscience…does that include I don’t think the risk of disease is worth the risk of unknowns from rushed vaxes. That is my real objection.
May he stand fast!
