As a teen growing up, our house on Fatio Lane* had a large glass window from ceiling to floor. As a budding aquarist, I envisioned a outdoors fish pond beyond that window that allowed a “doggy door” to the living room, which was flooded to have fish swimming underfoot. Scattered “islands” of concrete steps would permit the family to grab snacks from the adjacent kitchen. (We were all teetotalers). ;)

I visited this farm in Thailand where they had built a glass wall drop down into the water room in a lake on their property . Loads of fish and all identifiable tropical aquarium fish to me . In schools! It was great ! Tinfoil barbs ( and a bunch of other barb types) Knife fish , many species of Gourami. Archerfish, various catfish including some really giant ones. Talk about a vast aquarium . Almost like diving in Hawaii
