I wonder if government employees are afraid that their neighbors know who they are?

A government, of the government, by the government, for the government, will parish from this earth.

“It is for this reason President Obama acquired and distributed huge amounts of weaponry to myriad government agencies.”

Obama was president in 2008. In the 2010 midterms the tea party movement defined the agenda (not the RNC) that propelled the GOP to a majority in the House of Representatives. The Constitution gives the House the power of the purse. All spending and tax bills must originate in the House according to the Constitution. Therefore if the House doesn’t include a spending item in an appropriations bill, it is not funded. Exclude a department from the budget and the department has to be shut down. If funding for Planned Parenthood, Obamacare, PBS, or consulting projects to social justice organizations is not in a budget, those programs end and the bureaucrats staffing the program are terminated.

While the Republicans controlled the House from 2011 to 2019, under the leadership of two speakers (Boehner and Ryan), nothing was done to eliminate the social justice spending Obama put in place during the first two years when Democrats controlled the executive and legislative branches. In fact most of the spending Obama wanted during his last six years was approved through continuing resolutions and giant appropriations bills. Obamacare, Planned Parenthood, Federal student loans, PBS, Amtrak and thousands of other liberal programs that had proven ineffective for decades, or were focused on “fundamentally changing America” continued to be funded at higher levels. The GOP majority Congress, elected to roll back the excesses of Obamacare continued to fuel the growth of the unaccountable, and growing, federal bureaucracy.

For two years (January 2017-2019) the GOP had a majority in both houses of Congress and the executive branch. President Trump would have signed bills eliminating departments, ending programs, and cutting the bureaucracy. Instead of taking advantage of the opportunity to roll back the every encroaching bureaucracy, the GOP Congress fought the Republican president while conducting business as usual with the Democrats.

Obama initiated the transformation of the bureaucracy into a political force. When it had the opportunity to use the power of the purse to reign in the bureaucracy, the GOP did nothing.

“If things aren’t working, it’s because those who work within the federal government don’t want them to work.“

Oh, things work, alright…. They work FOR the DC politicians and bureaucrats, NOT for the citizens.

We have been over-run by vermin in our government.

You can’t “make nice” with vermin. They’ll just keep coming back…

This is an awesome, truthful article. Here is a VERY true quote:

It is the People’s money that is tied up in the stock market through IRAs and other savings programs. Rather, the money of the elites has been socked away in land purchases in the United States and other countries and in the means of production. They knew long ago the way to go was to jump ship to the next source of wealth before panic at home set in.

I went to a garage sale in Bastrop, TX years ago. It was a retired IRS agent and his Filipino wife selling out. Everything. I asked him where he was going. He said to the Philippines where the cost of living at the time was next-to-nothing. Many, many Federal employees have done this. I have run into several Federal retired employees in my side job who have tremendous land holdings here in the United States. The article is spot on.

From the article:

"At this strange moment in history, Americans of the ordinary kind are left only with hope, prayer, resignation, and as a last resort, groveling until our floundering economy is forced to respond to the realities of a failing complex system."

I won't grovel. And the last resort is the "break glass in case of emergency kind". Which why they're desperately trying to set up a gun registry.

That was a comprehensive listing of what we are facing

I’ve never been more ashamed and more afraid of our federal government than I am now. Would be even worse if I lived in a blue state. At least I have found some relief here and a place to make my stand.
