Yes, of course...the woman had nothing to do with it...all the man’s fault, right?
Adam was with her and watched her eat.
God gave him responsibility and authority over the earth. He gave him instructions about the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, BEFORE Eve was created. Therefore it was his responsibility to pass that on correctly, and to make sure they didn’t do it. That apparently did not happen. Whether he told her wrong, or she heard him wrong, when Eve misquoted God’s instructions to the serpent, Adam was responsible at that point to correct her and order the serpent out.
Instead, he, who was with her when she ate, did nothing to stop her, watched her eat, and then partook himself.
It was after HE ate too, that both their eyes were opened.
You are, in your anger and bitterness, reading too much into what I said. I did not ever say she did nothing wrong.
However, like it or not, God held Adam responsible for the fall, as it was his job, as the head of the marriage and steward over God’s creation, to take action when Eve decided to eat.
So, again, if you don’t like the fact that God held Adam accountable for the fall and entry of sin into the world, take it up with Him.
