Once that little piece of paper is filed, you have no leverage. None. If you get into a marriage with a selfish woman, you’re life is hell. You can say it’s a man’s social duty to be father and husband, but it will be all about her and not about being mother and wife. So make sure you take real care to find the right one, and not lose your wits over a piece of tail. If you do then you made your own bed. As cold as that sounds, that’s why a lot of men wont do it.

Seriously, I got the same speech from my dad just before I shipped out for boot camp. I was 17. I took his words to heart and did not marry until I found the perfect woman. I was 33 years old. We’ve been married for 18 years and it just gets better every year.
