And yet when women do it, they are soundly condemned by men as feminists.
And women's reasons are often valid, like a cheating souse and being beaten. And yet when they do file for divorce to get away from it, they are blamed and condemned.
Men are not victims here.
Some women are just shrews and evil and will use men up and spit them out, just like some men do to women.
It's not either/or for who is to blame. A marriage is made of two people, and usually, not always, there is plenty of blame for both parties.
BS on the face of it. I know for a fact that many divorces are filed because she is not haaaaapy or did not get her way. You are just flat wrong on that one.
Men are not victims of the system? You are clueless and delusional. It is women like you we run from....wow. Most divorce settlements and defintely child visitation arrangements favor the woman. But I am sure that to you that is of no consequence as long as a man gets the shaft.
It takes two to make a marriage work but only one to screw it up. Women file for divorce more than 70% of the time. You do the math. I know agency and taking responsibility is tough for women, but try it. I know most women think they have a right to everything but are responsible for nothing. Yet, in the real world someone has to be responsible.
Are there bad men out there? Sure there are. But no more than women. But in our culture only one sex is ever held accountable. For example, women are routinely sentenced for less time when they have committed the same crime as a man. Fact, look it up.
Woman cheat and abuse just as much as men. Yet they are the primary divorce filers. It is because they stand to benefit from the system once they do. You can deny that, but it is the truth. Incentive, financial or otherwise, is responsible for that 70% figure.
Feminism? More than 90% of alimony recepients are women. Women “don’t need no man!” Just our wallets.
You can go on with the delusion that family court does not favor women. I know several divorce lawyers and they routinely have told me that in any divorce proceeding they would rather represent the woman. They will have a much easier time of it. This is a well known axiom in that industry. But, metmom says NONE of this is true, so I guess I am supposed to ignore my lying eyes and ears and take her word for it. Nah, no thanks.
