I disagree to some extent. Nobody exists in a vacuum. Many men are aimless because their direction has been taken away. Why should men be strong? The military says girls can be better combat soldiers than men. Why work hard? All you ever hear is that women deserve more money, deserve more slots as engineers, programmers, etc. anything that is more heavily male, not even formally limited to men but just heavily male oriented, is lambasted as “boy’s club”. I think most people are aware that popular TV has presented fathers as bumbling comic relief figures for years. Men will go down with the ship to make more room for women and children in the lifeboats, if society lauds and affirms that as the man’s role. If society says men suck in general and should shut up and stand aside, well, a lot of them are going to sit around playing video games and watching porn. It’s hard to exactly pinpoint when society stopped regarding anything men can offer as unique and worthwhile. It’s certainly not the fault of women per se, but it’s hard to ignore that at this point huge numbers of women have wholeheartedly bought into the idea, and seem to be stridently adversarial towards men.
My body, my choice. Old white men have no right to tell women what to do with their bodies. No uterus, no opinion. Millions of women believe these statements wholeheartedly and truly believe them. They view men with suspicious at best.
