December 2019, I know for a fact that this pizza place had slices for $1 and was open at 0430 for the late night crowds coming out of tribeca. I am sure now that they are not a buck but in Dec under the Donald they certainly were.

There's a dollar pizza place on Lexington Avenue a block from where I work and near Grand Central. It's no frills pizza with hardly any seating inside so you see people standing on the sidewalk outside eating pizza all day long. I'm sure the rats have a field day with all the discarded crusts.

The slices are quite large but it's mostly bread. Late at night, it's the place to go if you overindulged at the local bars. A couple of those slices will soak up what's in your stomach and help you avoid a hangover.

I would still put the overall quality of that pizza above what you get at Dominos, Papa John's and Little Caesars, etc.

On the other side of the spectrum, I would go up to Connecticut and get Pepe's Pizza. That is the best pizza I have ever had and I've had a lot of pizza. Try the white clam and garlic. It sounds like it wouldn't taste good but it's the best.
