“Fraud vitiates everything” means that temporary bogus immunity from prosecution won by bribes or lies or fraud will not hold.
Those Nazi doctors never expected to be hanged either. It was all “legal” under Nazi law.
You still have a choice. I know people who have accepted losing their job rather than get vaccinated. And they remain unvaccinated to this day. Nothing the government can do to them.
