In this scene from the 1970 movie, it is 1866, Jack Crabb relates his apprentice-ship with the snake-oil salesman Allardyce T. Meriweather. The scene is the town "sales" office. Later scene: His snake oil kills half a dozen people in the town who bought and took his "elixir" (contains snake heads of rattlers, for "strength"- and their venom). A posse catches up with them- and the two are tarred and feathered when their "customers" families realize that Meriweather's products are fraudulent and dangerous. One of the angry customers is Jack's now-grown sister, Caroline, with whom he reunites. takes a liking to the young man.
The second youtub posting is the 'philosophy' of Merriweather a godless narcissist and rip off artist-- the very personage of modern Pharma (Pfizer dare say?) which has made the US govt. their "business partner" and cultivated in office "lobbyists" for pay, in controlling the people of a Free Country. Or, trying to do so.
