PS - It was 18.5 pounds ground. I left a lot of meat on the legs and wings and cooking them with the necks. Will have enough meat and gravy to make 2 turkey pot pies.

You are a Wonder Woman! That’s a lot of food for such a great price!

I’m STILL trying to get motivated to process my pumpkins!

Prices on turkeys around here:

Jenny-O: 39-cents a pound, with $25 purchase. Limit One.

Butterball: 99-cents a pound, with $25 purchase. Limit One.

Running to town tomorrow for provisions; will check it out.

There was butterball here too .79 a pound . I opted for the .33. No prior purchase required. Discovered yesterday that the packets make 3 patties each. Times 29 packets is a lot of turkey sausage.

Yet another reason to grow your own.

(I was planning to expand my oregano patch anyway.)

On a more cheerful note, Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance has an incredible selection of grain seeds available. Including perennial varieties of wheat, oats, and rye.

They even have Kernza, the perennial wheat that’s been getting headlines lately. But unlike Kerza.org, RMSA doesn’t require you to register while promising everything short of your firstborn child in order to buy seeds!
(They have other perennial wheat varieties, too. Not just that one.)
