Soooooo, you point guns at the ground and they cannot misfire.
Me believes she needs more training
A local radio host said he had some British friends come to visit. He let them do some shooting. After the wife shot the Vz-58 she said “I know it’s wrong, but I need a cigarette.”
I’m not sure who the main audience is for AsiaOne, but it probably isn’t Americans. And it’s probably the kind of Asians that, if they were Americans, would find USAToday and “People” magazine informative and entertaining.
Very astute comment, which bears repeating.
Everyone realizes that this actress is Malaysian and guns are not part of everyday life over there. Firing a gun is a fairly dangerous act even for people who know what they are doing.
“When firing the gun, we shot dozens of bullets in various poses and at varying distances.”
Obviously she was not afraid of the gun.
She might have some issues with the English language I suppose. A “missfire” might have been her understanding of an unintentional firing.
My son has taken dates shooting. They all were a bit apprehensive but then they enjoyed it. One gal he had met online and they conversed for awhile. She came up to visit him and other family in the area.
He picked her up at the airport and met her for the first time. On the way to her relative’s house he stopped by the gun range and had her shoot.
I’m not sure if he had told her ahead of time or not. She had never shot a gun before. She loved it! They dated for a year or so iirc.
For being so “terrified”, Liu apparently learned the right things from the firearms training - respect for the weapon, muzzle discipline, and understanding that it puts the power of life and death in her own hand.
Her words on respecting the CNB officers more are encouraging, even though should folds it into a dramatic framework of fear.
You have two types of libtard who should never be allowed to pick up a firearm. This type who is so terrified of the weapon that they pose a danger and the dumba$$ cowboys, like Baldwin, who don’t have sense enough to respect what they’re horsing around with.
She had never shot so much as a BB gun before she married me.
Re: 25 - Thanks for mentioning this. Guns are nightly restricted in Malaysia ai most people will not have any experience with firearms. The article was written for a Malaysian readership and not primarily aimed at US readers.
I find firing a gun rather rewarding.
You need to respect what it can do but otherwise, there is no fear involved.
Agreed.
My 6 and 12 year old grand children could teach her a thing or tow about guns.
What the hell do you mean “not many women can......”? Anybody can. Just adopt a 2nd Amendment.
My 6 and 12 year old grand children could teach her a thing or two about guns.
At least she didn’t kill somebody.
I feel power when I squeeze off a round of 9mm. Just sayin.
The article was from an Asian news source. I’d say he’s correct for his audience.
The actress is from Malaysia and I believe this article is from the Malaysian perspective for a Malaysian audience .
They have Strict gun control in Malaysia although guns are available via the black market . The average Malaysian woman probably does not have an opportunity to handle firearms.
I would disagree, but perhaps it was the wording that I disagree with, maybe not the sentiment.
That same sentiment can apply to nearly anything, I think.
I view these in kind of the same light:
The point I make is, I don't see discharging a firearm as inherently dangerous. There are some things that are, such as:
I guess there are things that I see as being inherently "fairly dangerous" such as being an infantryman in a combat zone even with all the proper training given and respect rendered to the situation.
I don't see discharging a well maintained firearm by a properly trained person in a formal gun range setting to be any more inherently dangerous than cooking a pizza.
Heh, this is what happens when I have a chance to drink my morning coffee without any outside interference...next up...discussions about the Bible and the Talmud!
