In bombshell ESPN report, Warriors coach Steve Kerr had a choice. He chose to defend Suns owner Robert Sarver.

Steve Kerr knew billionaire Golden State Warriors owner Joe Lacob for at least 20 years when Lacob offered him the team's head coaching position.

But that's not Kerr's only extra-rich buddy. He's also friends, or at least friendly with, fellow University of Arizona alumus Robert Sarver, the owner of the Phoenix Suns. In the early 2000s, Kerr introduced Sarver to then-commissioner David Stern and put in a good word for him. Sarver became majority owner in 2004, and Kerr snagged a minority ownership stake. A few years later, Sarver further returned the favor and hired Kerr as Phoenix's general manager. Kerr left three years later; rumors of a falling out with Sarver were never substantiated, but certainly seemed (and still seem) plausible.

Regardless of what happened, more than a decade later, Steve Kerr owes Robert Sarver nothing and isn't indebted to him. He's a multi-millionaire in his own right, sold his stake in the Suns years ago, and is perfectly comfortable as the head coach of the Warriors, with whom he's won three championships. His post-playing days legacy is firmly in the Bay Area. Most people forgot he even had a Suns stint.

Until Thursday, that is. ESPN's Baxter Holmes released a thoroughly detailed report, which involves more than 70 interviews with current and former members of the Suns organization and lays out a litany of allegations against Sarver: That he's a racist who repeatedly said the n-word, that he's a sexist who treats women (including his wife) with disdain and disrespect, that he's created an unsafe, unsustainable work environment his team's own HR department can't actually remedy, and least importantly (but still embarrassing), that he's inserted himself into actual basketball-related decisions he has zero

This is surprising, given that Kerr is the most P.C. coach in sports this side of Greg Popovich.

Even though Kerr's whole career is based on stealing credit for a black coach who was fired explicitly for being black and Christian, working for the racist Peter Gruber and Rick Welts.

Kerr is a virtue-signaling bum who even appeared in Lincoln Project ads. It’d be poetic justice if the race hustlers to whom he has so shamelessly pandered turned on him and forced his resignation or firing.

Why? Peter Gruber and Rick Welts are much worse than Donald Sterling. Steve Kerr was only successful as a coach by taking credit for Mark Jackson.

Why and how is this clickbait? Suns owner Robert Sarver is currently the subject of a very real witch hunt for “racism,” and his erstwhile colleague and friend Steve Kerr is now enmeshed in the story. You may not like the story, but it is a story.

I used to watch the NBA religiously, a habit I picked up from my dad who loved the Celtics. But I haven’t watched the NBA in 3 years, I have no idea who won the Final last season or who the loser was. I don’t care about them, My plan is to never spend another minute of my remaining years of life watching them. They don’t deserve one second of my time.

I quit watching years ago when it became apparent the games were rigged.

I hear it’s all three pointers now.

Why is it surprising?? As we see time and time again liberals are the most hypocritical, self-serving racists in America. Let’s see what happens with the Suns favorite soi-boi steve nash, now coaching the Nets.

As we here in PHX have always thought, the Hoax Sports media hates the Suns, especially after they came within a hair in 1976 of beating the Almighty Celtics.

For years, there have been serious charges against officiating vs. the Suns, particularly when refs banned two key Suns players from a PLAYOFF game vs the beloved Spurs (you know, Popoverovich, who hates Trump).

I see this article as a continuation of the Suns hate.

I haven’t watched a NBA game in about 6 years. The last game I watched it wasn’t basketball, it was Tackle Horse.. I’ve seen football games with less contact, more traveling than a airline crew, miss dunks and miss 3 point shooting. We need another Bird/Johnson/Jordan rivalry to get me interested again...
