That should be “how many people OVER the age of 30 show up.” I have my eye on half a dozen promising 2021 films. NONE of them has reached the theaters yet. As always, I worry about where the industry is headed, and that depends ultimately on audiences.
I am not sure I will ever go to a movie theater again.
In my younger days, I recall going to as many as three movies in a week...there always was a lot to choose from, fun and interesting.
I valued the theater experience. Culturally, I appreciated having “shared” experiences like that with other people.
But the last several times I went, a few years ago, it was simply awful. I had to tell a row of teenagers in front of me to be quiet and put away their phones. They stopped.
