This needs to be kept in perspective and stop looking for those never to be found 100% purists. Everyone has some kind of background.

Trump has changed his political party affiliation from Dem to Ind to Repub and back and forth again.
In a 2004 interview, Trump told CNN's Wolf Blitzer: "In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat", explaining: "It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. [1].
IMV - Trump was one of the most effective Presidents we've had in terms of what he accomplished for our country, during his time period.(all the while fighting a 4+ year coup against him from all sides).

Reagan too was a Democrat at one point. He often said, "I didn't leave the Democratic Party. The party left me." [2]. He was also part of a liberal anti-nuclear group after WWII. [3].

Youngkin may not be perfect, but there's no question he is...and will be...orders of magnitude better than McAuliffe and his machine.
If it turns out that Virginian's don't like Youngkin after he's been in office, they can vote him out next time round and if they don't like to have to wait for a new election cycle, they must work to amend their Constitution to allow for a recall election.[4]

More likely, Youngkin was recruited to run for VA governor by the elites to prevent a MAGA candidate from winning.

A MAGA candidate would've been blown off the field by McAuliffe in Virginia. We're not talking about Idaho here.

I like Trump and think he was a great president. I also think he’s a man of integrity. The thing that ran through my mind on youngkin when I saw this article was ‘kemp’. I think there’s alot of distrust of circumstances these days and since I don’t really know alot about youngkin and there’s been a number of mentions of him distancing himself from Trump or removing confederate statues, etc., I’m just hopeful he’s not a back shivver.

I do trust that truck driver in jersey though :)

"I’m just hopeful he’s not a back shivver."

Indeed. And, unfortunately, only time will tell. Especially, since he has no political background. But then again, that was (apparently) part of his appeal.

Looks like he might have been dodging rotten tomatoes had he gone there.  ROFL face

I’m really interested to see the turnout numbers in the far west counties.

Lee, Wise, Tazewell, Buchanan etc… all of those places have been losing population, but they turned out unbelievably strong numbers with record margins of victory.

I think you have Franklin City in there instead of Franklin County.

But those turnout numbers…. WOW!

Franklin County	5,315	30%	12,062	69%	17,588 Franklin County	5,865	24%	17,802	74%	24,030 550	110% 5,740	148%

I'm not entirely familiar with the independent city/county theme of Virginny.

Thought you might find this interesting. Contrary to the conventional wisdom, Youngkin didn't put back together a Romney type coalition (which narrowly lost Virginia in 2012 to Obama). Instead, he managed to put up unbelievable numbers in the western mountains and did well enough in the Tidewater area to win the State. The cesspool of NOVA wokester Karens still had a left swing from 2012.

Very interesting!

I'm redoing my Pennsylvania stuff right now [it was one of the first states I did back in August], and I'm noticing a real swing to Republican in a lot of counties from 2008 through 2020 that 2008 Obama won or went 50-50.

INCLUDING the 2020 "election".

Lucky for the good guys in Virginia that Albemarle/Charlottesville isn't heavily populated like NOVA.  ROFL face

Rural Pennsylvania is very much like Rural Virginia. I bet you find almost identical swings.

Then compare Chester/Montgomery/Delaware (Philly Suburbs) to NOVA. I bet they track nearly identically with NOVA. Those areas are very close to each other in terms of the population wokester Karen scum.

I think what this tells us is that the working class/blue collar folks have completely abandoned the Democrats, and the upper crust snobby elite class have completely embraced the Democrats.
