I grew up in South Dakota and my family has been there since before it became a state. I never heard of anyone making baked sweet potatoes for Thanksgiving.

I love stuffing.
Dittos on the stuffing. My maternal grandmother made one with a sausage base that was very good, but my mother made a standard bread-based one with lots of giblets that remains my favorite. My wife's version mirrors my mother's.

I was just about to say Baltimore. Yes, it’s all about demographics. Every black family function I’ve ever attended in SE PA served collard greens. I assume it’s the same in Baltimore. Around here, most families (including mine) serve lasagna as one of the sides. I’ve never eaten a stuffed mushroom in my life. P.S. I’m surprised stuffing isn’t #1 for everyone.

OMG, collard greens. I tried them when I moved to the sort-of South. They tasted so bad it was like burning. What kind of monster eats these?
