I got rid of mine when Obama was put in office. Went through and individually deleted every post. Took hours.
Haven’t missed it, at all.
I hear that new hires at today’s companies are required to give the company full access to their accounts and if you don’t have a FB account, they don’t hire you.

I deleted mine in 2012. I got the "we are going to keep your data for 2 weeks in case you change your mind" thing and they bugged me every day or so until the 2 weeks were up. A couple of years ago I got an emails inviting me back and lo and behold there was the little bit of data I had put up years before.

Nobody deletes anything, especially in Silicon Valley. If they say they will, they are lying.
