Untreated acid reflux can lead to Barrett’s esophagus, which is pre-cancerous. I’ve had Barrett’s esophagus for many years, but it hasn’t advanced because I take medication twice a day.
I take 1 omeprazole 20mg for mine every day. I have been for years. Sometimes, if that’s not enough, I’ll have a glass of lactose free milk and it’s all good.
