What would your sentence be for shooting somebody?

I’m just not big on turning accidents into murder.
Sure, negligence etc, but it really isn’t “murder”.
“Shooting somebody” - that’s very open-ended. I guess you hate it when all the cops and all the home-owners shoot someone.
