We have high tariffs on car imports from China. I could see cheap Chinese cars becoming much more common in markets elsewhere in Asia or in Africa, that would hurt Toyota much more than the American OEMs.

We have high tariffs on car imports from China.
They are not high enough to keep Buick from using Red Chinese engines in its envision sold here.
In the short term, Red Chinese companies can co-brand with GM etc. Lots of people shop on price and name recognition and past experience.

We have high tariffs on car imports from China.I wouldn't assume that those tariffs will be maintained. Xiden and his Chinese advocates in Congress could make short order of them.
