Some say our universe is a certain age because that is what we can ‘see.’ Who is to say what is beyond what we can ‘see’ today? Tomorrow, or in 200 years, we may see further, more, etc. The Earth may be about 4, 5 billion years old. The universe we ‘know’, we can ‘see’ may be 13-15 billion years old. Some of the stuff we know and see is backed up by rock-solid, real science. Some is conjecture and extrapolation from things we know. Then, we have speculation, maybe, perhaps, etc. Some of the maybe items might someday be more provable; others not. God gave us these amazing minds and brains, to use, to help others, and to explore this magnificent universe.

I've read that astrophyicists, cosmologists, astronomers deduced the universe age from calculating the speed of galaxies/matter moving away from each other using the red shift. Then they just do the math in reverse. Walla! Basketball size big bang 14 billion years ago that appeared out of nowhere.

So now they say there is not enough matter to account for those calculations and make up dark matter, which only means it's dark because they can't prove it exists. But what do I know? It appears that Aristotle, Copernicus, Kepler, Galileo, Newton didn't know all they think they did in their time. Even Einstein and Stephen Hawkings theories are now being questioned, amongst others.

I believe Intelligent Design or Intelligent Roll of Dice is behind it all.
