Inanimate artifacts cannot be possessed with evil spirits.   Evangelicals believe in possession by the Holy Spirit which no one should ever deny.   It saddens me to think that some might believe in demonic possession in need of exorcism.   Do they also believe in mental illness?   What would be the difference?   Do you believe haunted house television shows are real?   Do you believe The Winchester Mystery House® houses demons as Sarah Winchester believed?   I visited there in 1976 and I didn't see a sign of them or hear a peep out of them. /sigh

The haunted house shows. The Winchester House. Statues bleeding from their eyes. I believe people see and hear these things, but they’re not ghosts. It’s demonic.
