The issue with opening the JFK files is that it has only been 58 years since the incident. Those directly involved in the murder alive could kill informants who are still alive. I can see a chips fall scenario if other nations or organizations were outed and embarrassed and could be negatively affected today. the children of the conspirators could be associated with their parents as they gained from their parents actions.

ONLY 58 years ago? Even a very young participant would be in their 80s by now, and any one in a position of leadership - over the age of 40 at the time - would be over 100 even if still alive. Most of those involved would be long gone.

No the only reason to cover it up is to cover the governament ass die to direct, or indirect involvement. Most witnesses are dead or in their 80’s. Seriously doubt they are worth the time and effort to take out.
