Do yourself a favor and stop looking for things to be outraged about. It makes you look silly.
He’s got service connected PTSD. Meaning, he is paid for it. The average payment for service connected PTSD is 70% connection. The fact that he was given a dog by the VA, means he is very likely to be 100% service connected.
Where this incident occurred, one can live surprisingly well on $3k a month. Especially if he comes down a little ways to SC.
I’ve said nothing to minimize his sacrifices, nor do I begrudge him his benefits at all. However,I do happen to have a lot of experience in this area. More than you do from reading a book, I assure you. If the man is panhandling, he likely has some issues that need addressing like substance abuse. The guy needs help and probably someone to manage his money, so he can’t spend it on things he shouldn’t.
You really hate vets don’t you “He paid for it (PTSD)”.
“Things to get outraged about” like horrible treatment of fellow vets, you mean? And outraged about totally out to lunch people that slam them for the results of our service, like you?
You have no idea what we vets go through so please get off your high horse.
You still imagine that he gets $3k an month, as though you are privileged to know his particular situation. What presumption! You put yourself up as having experience with vets which is, by your terribly negative comments, untrue or at best imagined.
Please crawl back into whatever crack you crawled out of and leave us vets alone! You have no standing to claim any knowledgeable comment.
