The bobbing around is clearly from holding a camera by hand focused on a distant object with a telephoto lens. Since a hand cannot hold the camera steady, the object seems to bob around.

The crew member who first observed the object, before the other crew member started video, stated a few times that the object dropped into position from above before it started trailing their craft.
