Yeah, Dusty cost Wood and Prior ten Cy Young-quality seasons apiece. The Cubs could have been the Team of the 2000s. It’s not that having a young pitchers throw a lot of innings is bad (Seaver, Ryan, Jenkins, etc. all did it), it’s that a young pitcher *who has been pampered his entire life and never pitched tired* can’t be expected to start throwing 130 pitches on three-days’ rest.
