LIFG was armed with UK backing by Qatar in the war of 2011 and previously financed by the UK to kill Gadaffi in 1996.

Manchester enquiry is told a JTAC assessment in December 2010 concluded there was an issue of Islamist extremism in Manchester.

Yet Libyan radicals there were reportedly encouraged by MI5 & MI6 to fight in Libya just a few months after.
