Even if the company covers, I would think that $6 million might not be enough compensation for wrongful death.

Generally, wrongful death damages are the pecuniary losses suffered by dependants. There is no recovery for the suffering of the decedent, unless that is allowed by the statute. Each state is different. $6M is more than amply in most cases. The decedent here is a high income earner, so the case is pretty juicy.

It’s not enough. For the dramatic MULTIPLE LEVELS of negligence, the injury to the director, PLUS the horrific wrongful death of the cinematographer, $6 mil is low.
