This needs to be a public service announcement

These crooks prey on our seniors in their mental decline years

This nightmare has been going on for about 10 years for my family.

First they scammed my father out of his life savings ‘ 70,000

But that was just the start
They start with the mailed con then go to the phone con.

Next they talked him into selling his mobile home and took that money

He went from owning a 2 bedroom where his space rent was 300

and moved into assisted living for over 3000 a month,

He then started giving the con men his pension money, his rent money every orher month or so, he borrowed from family numerous times and never paid it back. We got him a payment plan to catch up. They talked him out of his rent money every other month or so till we realized he was being g scammed by this scam

He has been giving his money away and we can’t stop him

They have got him so conned he believes they are legit and we are wrong that it’s a scam.

Years we have been fighting thus now

Covid kept his eviction at bay for this last year and he is now over 7000 behind on rent

Adult Protective Service says this scam is rampant among seniors but since they voluntarily give the scammers the money there is nothing they can do to stop it, law enforcement says the same thing.

We for reasons of distance and money cannot get guardianship to stop it.

I hate this scam and those running it with a red hot hatred.

It’s not click bait to me.

It’s my nightmare.
