Today is the first day of my exile from the local bar because of a county vaccine mandate (Seattle area). Bar management has indicated they will not rigorously enforce the rule, if at all, but some of us are known to be unvaccinated, and some of the pro-vaccine people are pretty smug and huffy about it. Since I can't trust them not to squeal on the owners, I'll stay away.

And, in fact, some of the vaccinated are among the worst at not respecting your personal space, and I may have as much to fear from them as they do from me. Maybe more.

Bar management might consider becoming a private club instead of a public bar.
