$7,500 bail? And if the perp was working with a bail bondsman, he’d only have to come up with $700 or so.

Anyway, had some adult intervened and given that guy a serious attitude adjustment, that Good Samaritan would probably still be sitting in jail.

Surprised that N.Y. has bail bondsmen. We don’t have them in Illinois, $7,500 bail here means the defendant puts up $750 cash to the court and will go toward any fine levied. If found not guilty the money is returned to him. Cuts out the middle man and his fees.
