“I agree. The Union IS the problem. They are violating national security.”

Agree, and it looks like our own FR union shill hasn’t woken up yet. But then again, it’s a Sunday, and union rules prevail!

Couldn’t, they’re not government employees.

Except that would not help the situation which is largely caused by California’ trucking bill which limits trucks entering the port to ones built after 2011 - effectively eliminating most trucks in the US, the California ban on private contractors which caused trucking companies nationwide to go bankrupt. These removed and the longshoreman problem becomes minor.

Only Sacramento can fix these screw ups, but being radical democrats they will likely double down than fix.

I assumed the truck checking occurs at the weigh stations.

No much worse! The trucking issue with California LA ports, ie the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), is that all semi tractors have to be current with new California emissions standards. As a consequence, that mean trucks cannot be older than 3 years if they are to pick up or deliver containers at those ports.. So it aint the longshoremen

Winner winner chicken dinner! This is a result of our unhindered bureaucracy, that operates at their own will and direction, regardless of who wields presidential power, (for the most part).

California has no problem with all the jet fuel dumped over LA in their emissions rules.
It’s all a matter of money huh.

You pre-suppose the longshoremen are an independent union acting in what they conceive to be their own interests against the rest of us. Like PATCO was.

Rather they are an appendage of the Democratic Party, acting on orders. The problems only happening in the first place because the Dems are in power.

Honestly, I think Americans finding out how much we over rely on imported products is good for America.

The worse things get the more likely they may actually wake up and fight.
