“She did not like him even a little bit, and did not think he should ever be in charge of anything.”

I’ve known some powerful people, powerful in their own domain, if not in the wider sense like Bill Gates. Some of them suffered from what I called “Caesar Syndrome.” They surrounded themselves with yes men and submissive beautiful women. They lost track of the real world and believed that whatever they said automatically altered reality to fit their preconceived notions. “This will be profitable.” “I can’t believe you’re even concerned. Everyone will love it.” And their Greek chorus of yes men and “adoring” women would dutifully say yes, or you’re so brilliant. If you were not one of those, you would not like these men at all. You had best find another job as soon as possible.

Also, I don’t for a moment think the yes men or adoring women like these men either. These men are a tool to get whatever it is those people want. Introductions, jobs, money, a better position...

Gates I don’t know. Jobs was a tyrant though. Screamed like a baby. Always demanding. Wozniak was the brains of Apple, inventing all the early hardware and software himself. Quiet guy though, and they rarely get their due.
