thx...
Wow, cool track. Should be fun!
great track...
Someone tried to tell me the track is supposed to look like the head of a guitar. (Austin being the self-appointed “capital of live music.) But it looks more like the silhouette of a microscope to me.
I was lucky to see a race at the Austin with some fans. Had a great time but next time (whenever that is!) I’ll probably watch from one of the beergardens.
Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is located S.E. of Austin. COTA was designed for Formula 1 with input from many sources including Mario Andretti
Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) is the 1.5 mile NASCAR Oval track located West of Ft. Worth on IH-35W on the Denton/Tarrant County line. TMS doesn’t have a Road Course option.
I almost forgot about Texas World Speedway (TWS) is the sister track to Michigan International Speedway (MIS) and has been closed for decades. It’s located near Brian/College Station, Texas A & M University, NE of Houston. It was mostly used to run Southern Division SCCA Formula Ford, etc. The last NASCAR Cup Race was 1976 IIRC and I was there.

Forecast is sunny with highs in the upper 80s all three days.
The Euros will be whining about the “extreme” heat.
.
eurotrash whiners...
Thank you for the correction!
You’re Welcome. The names of the Tracks is confusing at minimum. I’ve been to 2 of the 3. Maybe I’ll get to COTA sometime.
I lived in Texas for 35+ years and as soon as I moved they built COTA. I moved Arkansas for a while and that’s when they built TMS. I was out Turkey Hunting and got back to Town and found a message from the Texas crew and they had a Party Bus and several Sleeper Coaches plus Full Access Comp Passes for the Race Weekend and I missed by a few hours being there to answer the phone call. I did miss the Infield Mudhole that made the whole weekend just a mess !
the handsome young fellow facing the camera is yours truly, that's my partner in the blue shirt next to me
Anybody who doesn’t have ESPN send me a FReepmail for a possible workaround.
I haven’t watched a Formula 1 race in years. I’ll try to catch this one.
