What Is the Indy Autonomous Challenge Powered By Cisco?
The Indy Autonomous Challenge Powered By Cisco (IAC), organized by Energy Systems Network and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, is a $1.5 million prize competition among universities to program Dallara AV-21 racecars and compete in the world’s first autonomous racecar event at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The primary goal of the IAC is to advance technology that can speed the commercialization of fully autonomous vehicles and deployments of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). These enhancements will lead to increased safety and performance in all modes of racing and commercial transportation. CRASH FEST COMING!
That’s what I’m expecting.
The National Anthem was sung by a Student from Mooresville High School.
This is worse than watching paint dry on the tennis court and they’re trying to play a game.
I drove SCCA (Class 3 License) in Formula Fords at Mid-Ohio, back in the 80s, at Skip Barber Racing Events, at 125-130mph (top end 140), with Ford Pinto engines. I can understand their caution in not wanting to wreck, but it is boring.
nope, but come dark we went down to have a look at the radiator and it was already being pulled...
Did/do You know of Tom Dalrymple ? Drove SCCA FF in the Southwest Division.
Made it to Atlanta for the Finals a couple of years in the mid 80’s. One of them Tom got punted and came to a stop just over the crown of the turn and got T-Boned hard and ended up with a pretty good Scramble of the O’l brain matter. That’s when His Wife made Him stop Racing.
