As a guy who liked much (not all) of what Trump did, i never ever thought this, nor heard any of my friends ever say anything close to this.

I do agree with you that husbands should do more in general. Men, generally, have more energy than women.

On the contrary. Men are in short supply. There was a brief period where I was dating recently, between long term girlfriends. Amazed to find out how many voted for Trump and how many used it as a test to figure out whether you were a traditional man.
I was floored. One girl came out and admitted she voted for Trump and held her breath. When I told her she was in good company, she was relieved.
There are not many men left. Women tend to want to date men.
